Thanks for your comments, Betsy and Keith. I was asked to photograph "eyes" by the group leader of my photography group, Keith. So I photographed one of Mrs C's eyes, made a mirror-image and merged them with a photo of some frosted glass of our bi-fold living room doors ... to make it more interesting. My French isn't good enough to translate all that, Keith. :)
BTW, I used GIMP (free photo-editing software) to create the photo-montage. I reduced the opacity of one of the eye layers, to get the transparent effect, and used the Erasure tool to etch through it, to show the clear glass diagonal underneath.
Like me, you use Linux then? I dumped Windows a long time ago, I got fed-up with the constant hang-ups, freezes, crashes and other minor irritating things. Since switching I've not had any bother with Linux and I find it's much faster!
However, I still think Photoshop 7 has the edge over GIMP.
Hi Keith ... no, I'm not a Linux user as yet. I'm currently using Gimp rather than Photoshop Elements 7 (which I've also got), as I find Gimp easier to use ... it looks more like Photoshop 7.
